The Burrow — Calming Orthopedic Sofa Bed
A deep sofa bed with high sides on three edges and a plush surface, on an orthopaedic foam base. The cover is removable.
The high sides are the point. Dogs that are anxious, noise-sensitive, or simply happier in a confined space settle better with something to press against on more than one side. The trade-off is usable room — deep sides take up more of the footprint than a low bolster does.
Medium — 80 × 60 × 18cm

External dimensions. On this shape especially, the flat area inside the sides is meaningfully smaller than the outside measurement.
Measure your dog lying stretched on their side, nose to the base of the tail, then add 15cm if they curl and 30cm if they sprawl.
Most dogs on a calming bed will curl — but they change position through the night, and a bed sized to a curled dog is one they hang off at three in the morning.
Our method
Most listings give the outside of the bed. That number includes the bolster, which your dog cannot lie on.
We publish the external footprint in centimetres and tell you where the rim eats into it. We are measuring the internal area and will publish it as it is confirmed.
Plain language
Anyone can print the word on a bag of polyester fill.
We publish what each bed is made of rather than just the word. We don’t claim a bed treats anything — that’s a question for your vet.
What we don’t know yet
It is also the one most stores never print. We are collecting verified figures with test reports from our manufacturers.
Until a figure is evidenced we will not print it. An unsupported number is worth less than an honest gap.
