Every bed we make, in one place. Three shapes — a sofa with sides, a bolster with a rim, and a flat mattress with neither.
Which one suits your dog depends less on their size than on how they sleep. Dogs that press against something settle faster on a bed with sides. Dogs that sprawl need the whole surface and no rim to fold around.
Whatever you choose, measure your dog first: nose to the base of the tail, lying stretched on their side. Not the tip of the tail. Sizing is the reason most beds go back.

A wall, the edge of the couch, your leg. A sofa bed gives them a fixed edge to push into on three sides, with an open front so an older dog steps in rather than climbs.

Chin on the edge, nose over the rim. A bolster runs the whole way round, so there is something to rest on whichever way they land.

A rim just makes a sprawler fold, and plenty give up and hang off the edge instead. A flat mattress gives them the whole surface, and fits a crate.

How do I pick a size?
Measure your dog lying stretched out on their side, nose to the base of the tail. Add 15cm if they curl to sleep, 30cm if they sprawl. Every product page has a size finder that does the arithmetic and selects the size for you.
Is the size on the page the space my dog gets?
No. Every figure we publish is the external footprint — what the bed occupies on your floor. On any bed with a rim, the flat area inside it is smaller. On a flat mattress the two are almost the same, which is why it is the easiest shape to size.
What makes a bed orthopaedic?
We apply one test: a supportive foam base rather than loose filling. Fill migrates away from the points a dog presses hardest; foam does not. Eight of our dog beds pass that test and are listed as orthopaedic. The Quilt does not, and is not.
What if I get it wrong?
Thirty days to change your mind on an unused bed in its packaging, with return freight on you — usually $25 to $60 on something this bulky. Which is why we would rather you sent us the measurement first. Your consumer guarantees under Australian law apply regardless.
